From September 25 to September 26, hosted by Chinese Society of Ethnic Languages and MUC (MINZU University of China) Research Center for Ethnic Minority languages, the 14th National Academic Conference was held in Beijing, attracting more than 200 scholars of institutes and universities at home and abroad, including professors and students from the School of Humanity of CUC.

This two-day conference was hosted online and offline, discussing items such as the relationship between ethnic language research and the construction of a common spiritual home for ethnic groups in China, the descriptive studies of ethic languages, the comparative studies of ethic languages, and so on.
Over recent years, the School of Humanity has achieved achievements in studying minority languages and persevering the resources of endangered languages. Presently, the school has a 30-member team that works on the research of minority languages, taking charge of 5 nation-level programs and over 30 province-level programs.
The series of 30 volumes of the Chronicles of Endangered Languages in China
In 2016, the Committee of the Sino-Tibetan Language and Culture of the Chinese Society of Ethnic Languages set up its secretariat in the School of Humanity. In December 2018, the School of Humanity held the first academic seminar and established the research center of Sino-Tibetan endangered language and culture. In June 2019, the Commercial Press published a series of 30 volumes of the Chronicles of Endangered Languages in China. In this series,4 volumes were written by teachers and students of the School of Humanity. Professor Li Daqin was also invited as the chief editor of the minority language series.
Today, based on the research center, the School of Humanity has formed a large-scale and well-run research team for ethnic minority languages, together with talented masters and doctors dedicated to this academic field.
