The 17th Associations Cultural Festival themed “Silk Road Monopoly” was held at the open space in front of the CUC Student Activities Center on Saturday, April 13. Some 34 student associations participated in the event. The interactive games they prepared showed the charm and characteristic of each association.

Game rules of this year’s Associations Cultural Festival match with its theme. Players could win game coupons with different denominations through competing challenges. Function cards could be earned from Arabian businessmen (posed by staff members) by winning the dice game. At the end of the day, top 5 players were awarded with the golden tickets to the CUC Dancing Gala.
An Arabian businessman, the non-player Character, was interacting with a member of CUC Martial Arts Society, pretending to be Tai Chi duel.
The students gathered in front of the table of the CUC Animal Protection Association to participate in the games they designed. There were various games including “You Draw I Guess”, “Throwing Sandbags”, “Feeding Game”and so on.
The Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Students’ Development Association prepared interesting “Monopoly” games to introduce students the special and charming culture of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
The students paid 50 game coupons to take part in the “Fortune Wheel”. If the players were lucky enough, they could earn extra game coupons with ease and vice versa.
The members of TRY Anime Association dressed up in the Japanese style and performed a dance named “ルカミクグミIAリン”(Only, the Poem of Love) for the audiences.
Two members of the Guitar Club performed the original works “Dream Night”, showing their talent and skills.
Kun Qu Research Association gave an incredible performance of the immortal repertoire of Tang Xianzu -"Peony Pavilion, Garden Tour, Step by Step"(《牡丹亭·游园·步步娇》).
The X Glider - Ice and Snow Roller Club prepared a delicately organized roller skate show for the crowds.
The audiences were immersed in the show performed by different associations.
The event came to an end in the afternoon. Aiming at advertising and promoting campus superior association activities, the 17th Associations Cultural Festival demonstrate the association culture to the teachers and students.
