Anthony Shop gives a speech at CUC on June 8, 2018
Anthony Shop, co-founder and chief strategy officer of Social Driver Co., Ltd., came to Communication University of China(CUC) last Friday to give his speech on “How to Develop Digital Marketing in the Age of Social Media” as a scholar of the U.S.-China University Student Leaders Academy. After the lecture, he was presented with a letter of appointment as a senior researcher of the CUC’s New Media Lab for Government Affairs.
"Mr. Shop’s joining our institute not only promotes the internationalization of its talent pool, but also contributes to joining international standards into academic research,” said Yang Yujun, dean of CUC’s Academy of Media and Public Affairs.
Anthony Shop, who founded the award-winning digital innovation company in 2011, has been devoted to delivering creative solutions at the intersection of marketing and technology. In his speech “Social Driver + Digital Strategy”, he stated that with the evolution of digital technologies and means of communication, convergence media will become an industry trend. Shop shared six easy ways to engage target audience, whether they are students, parents, educators, policymakers, or even STEM partners. He calls these “The Six E’s of Engagement”, which stand for Elevate, Empower, Ease, Entertain, Entice and Educate. “Our role is to be a conduit,” he said.Zhi-Xing China Fellowship: U.S.-China University Student Leaders Academy was officially launched in 2014 with the goal of inspiring and building connections between outstanding scholars in the US and China. Jointly implemented by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and Asia Society, this Fellowship is a highlight of U.S-China People-to-People Exchange, championed by the US Secretary of State and the Chinese counterpart.
