CUC students and teachers also attended a series of interchange activities, including watching musical and opera pieces, communicating at the 3rd Sino-America vocal education peak forum and experiencing the master-classes given by American vocalists. According to Wang Yige, she is honored to benefit from the activities, which not only covered the specifics such as the scientific methods of sound production and interviewing skills, but also included the macroscopic development of vocal music. She is intuitively inspired by the opera and musical pieces presented by Xing Hai Conservatory of Music and Shanghai Conservatory of music. “I have learnt a lot from both perspectives of performers and piano accompanists… and it’s really thought-provoking.” she said.

When asked about the preparation for the competition, Wang Yige said," It’s more efficient to ponder the song and character than to repeatedly practice." Having won the admission to University of Nebraska at Kearney, she is quite content with the result. However, studying abroad is not part of her plan. “In the future, I prefer to study in my country while practicing on stage. Only in this way can one’s work be close to the nation’s cultural trait and the appetite of the audience.” Wang said.
