Vice Chairman of the University Council Jiang Xufan met with Prof. Angela Brown, head of the delegation from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) as well as Dean of School of Arts & Humanities in NTU last Thursday. They had conversations on pushing forward the joint application for undergraduates and art majors in Sino-foreign educational program and discussed further exchanges and cooperation. Executive Vice President Luo Qing and Vice President Tang Nina, both from Faculty of International Media at Communication University of China (ICUC), also attended the meeting.
NTU is a Sino-foreign cooperative education institute of ICUC under Ministry of Education. NTU delegation also includes Michael Marsden (Dean of School of Art & Design), Andrew Plant (Director of Foreign Affairs Office in School of Arts & Humanities) and Ms.Liu Pei from International Department.
Entrusted by Prof. Edward Peck, the Vice Chancellor of NTU, the delegation assessed three cooperative postgraduate majors including communication, journalism and museum and heritage management, and held talks on joint application for Sino-foreign educational program of undergraduates (includes art majors).

Vice Chairman of the University Council Jiang Xufan noted that NTU was a valuable partner of CUC. The Sino-foreign educational program has witnessed an increasing number of enrollment, the remarkable improvement of teaching level and the notable results of cultivating outstanding postgraduates, creating a solid foundation for cooperation. In the future, the two sides can continuously improve the education for undergraduates on the basis of sufficient observation and investigation. Meanwhile, CUC will render further support to strengthencooperation.
Dean Angela Brown spoke highly of the recent achievement accomplished by CUC in media education. Last year, NTU won several prizes including “university of the year” which rightly dubbed the “Oscars” of the higher education sector. In the future, NTU will deepen cooperation with CUC and both universities will exchange resources with each other and continue to expand collaboration in areas such as the construction of overseas center for teacher training and practice bases.

In addition, NTU Delegation discussed with teachers from ICUC on the Sino-foreign educational program. Organized by Yang Yi, vice dean of Advertising School, the delegation investigated the interactive design laboratory and discussed with Prof. Lu Ying and Prof. Wu Meng on the professional training program. Later, the delegation discussed with Prof. Zhang Gedong (vice president of School of Animation and Digital Arts) and Prof Ai Shengying (dean of Department of Animation) in a seminar, focusing on the training program and joint laboratory construction.
