This week, two relaxing and joyful films, Fight Club and Eat Drink Man Woman will be shown in the museum.
Fight Club
An insomniac office worker, looking for a way to change his life, crosses paths with a devil-may-care soap maker, Tylor, forming an underground fight club in which people can fight without wearing protective clothing so that they can relieve their feelings. The club becomes a national underground organization gradually and members of the club do nothing but fighting and destroying. Gradually, Tylor becomes insane which is unbearable to Jack, so they quarrel and lead to Tylor’s leave eventually. But after that, Jack finds himself confused and reflects who he is.
Eat Drink Man Woman
The film narrates life in the house revolves around the ritual of an elaborate dinner each Sunday, and the love lives of all the family members. After retirement, the senior Taiwanese cuisine chief Lao Zhu meets much awkwardness in his elderly life. The cuisine he made with every effort fails to attract his three daughters to back home. Everything around him makes him feel depressed. Although daughters are busy, they are quite concerned about Lao Zhu’s elderly life, and plan to introduce a fellow to him. However, Zhu has already started a new relationship. After astonishment, the second daughter who inherits Lao Zhu’s gift at cooking has a new conception about her father after finding her future plans affected by unexpected changes.
