Wang Meng, from Titan Sports Weekly, was one of those foreign correspondents in the United States who witnessed the boom of basketball media in China since 2002, the exact year when Yao Ming joined the Huston Rocket.
After years of reporting at NBA frontline, he won huge crowds of basketball fans with his humorous and witty commentaries. He has so far been the Chinese journalist who stays longest at NBA and reports the largest number of matches.
Once a traditional media worker and a journalist, Wang Meng is now a webcaster at Tencent Sports. In his words, in the times of media convergence, sports reporting also need transition.
In this lecture, he will share with us his seven-year experience in the United States and how he faces the transition of sports media in China, basketball in particular.
