On June 1st, 2017, Confucius Institute at UFRGS successfully held the 10th Chinese Bridge for middle school student. Rafael, principle of the affiliated middle school of UFRGS , Ingrid, director of the middle school language center , Rita, director of Brazilian side of the Confucius Institute, Gu Tiejun director of Chinese side of the Confucius Institute and all the teachers of Confucius attended and watched the competition.
At the beginning of competition,Pro.Rafael, Pro.Rita, Pro.Gu Tiejun and Ingrid, respectively delivered a speech, Pro.Rafael said that Confucius Institute has made great achievements in the promotion of Chinese language and culture, Chinese let the people of the world get together, and expressed that the double sides will have a more in-depth, more comprehensive cooperation in future . Inglid, principle of the language center, said: in recent years, the number of Chinese language learners has steadily increased, and more and more middle school students are interested in Chinese and China. They hope they can study and live in China in the future.
The Competition was marvelous ,which divided into self-introduction, knowledge Q & A and talent show three parts.In self - introduction part, the contestants have talked about their love of Chinese and Chinese culture, the fun of learning Chinese language and their future vision ;Knowledge Q & A part, the contestants answered fluently, fully demonstrated their love of Chinese culture and history, which stonished the judges and audiences ;Talent show part, the contestants were using their supernatural powers, such as amazing ink painting, folk dance, cello performance. The performances pushed the competition to a climax.
After the competition, all the judges for the performance carried out a serious discussion.Guilerme won the champion with his excellent performance. He will also represent the Confucius Institute to Janeiro the Brazilian final regional competition in Rio de Janeiro. “Chinese is a bridge and connects you and me ”at this time, the middle Chinese Bridge competition was successfully ended.
Since 2015 ,Confucius Institute at UFRGS has been cooperating with the affiliated middle school ,they are supporting each other. The two sides have been supporting each other. This is the third time that the Confucius Institute has held the middle school Chinese Bridge. It is worth mentioning that Confucius Institute opened the Chinese interest class at the middle school, which was warmly welcomed, and more and more middle school students began to join the ranks of learning Chinese.
