On May 17, the award ceremony of “National English Competition for College Students” (NECCS) and Communication University of China 2017 written English contest was successfully held in the NO. 211 meeting room of School of International Studies. Dean of School of International Studies Li Zuowen, vice dean of School of International Studies Li Yehui attended the ceremony.
The award ceremony hosted by teacher Ding Weili from School of International Studies, Li Zuowen expressed congratulations to the students who’ve got excellent grades in the competition, and encouraged students to develop all-round English skills, such as writing and speaking, instead of merely being satisfied with testing scores. He also wished students great achievements in the future. After being presented with certificates and prizes, award-winners also exchanged their experiences in English learning in a friendly atmosphere.
National English Competition for College Students (NECCS) is organized by the College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee and the College Foreign Language Teaching and Research Association every year. This competition aims to motivate college students to pay more attention to English learning and promote the comprehensive as well as all-round improvement of their English levels. This year, Chen Jiawei, a sophomore from the International Journalism of television school has gone all the way to the final and let’s wish her good luck.
