On April 7th, Hiroshi Kawakubo, the president of Daichu Corporation and his colleagues attended “The 11th Daichu Japanese Speaking Competition” and met with Ding Junjie, the dean of the Advertising School. Before the meeting, President Hu Zhengrong had met with Hiroshi Kawakubo and his colleagues. President Hu showed his gratitude to Hiroshi’s support for the Chinese Students’ Japanese Speaking Competition and his contribution to the cultural exchange between China and Japan. Hu hoped that the bilateral cooperation would be sustainable.
Dean Ding Junjie warmly welcomed Hiroshi Kawakubo and his colleagues. He pointed out that the Japanese Speaking Competition—undertaken by college students from Beijing and Tianjin—was more than a promotion to cultural exchange between Japan and China. Rather, it also conformed to the trend of future development and the mainstream values.Ding appreciated President Hiroshi Kawakubo’s consistent support to the public welfare program and the promotion of cultural exchange between China and Japan.
President Hiroshi showed his gratitude to the university’s support to the Speaking Competition for the past eleven years. He hoped that the competition would not only encourage Chinese students to learn more about Japanese culture, but also enrich Japanese youth’s knowledge of China.
“Daichu Japanese Speaking Competition”, which is held by the Advertising School of Communication University of China, is an important contest co-hosted by Japan Daichu Corporation and CUC. Being one of the most influential Japanese speaking competitions in China, to date, there have been 11 consecutive competitions since 2007. In 2016, Daichu Corporation was praised by Japan’s Foreign Minister with great honor for the 10-year-long perseverance on the friendly cultural exchange between Japan and China. President Hiroshi sent a special thank-you letter to CUC to show his appreciation to the university’s support.
