  • CUC Students Explore Silk Road Legacy through Film and AI in Xi'an
    From January 15 to 17, CUC students joined young filmmakers from 15 countries in Xi’an for the International Youth Film Exchange Program along the Silk Road. Using AI technology, they documented Shaanxi’s cultural heritage at sites including the Terracotta Army and a Qin Opera theater. The event fostered cross-cultural dialogue and visual storytelling.

    The Shyness of Trees, an animated short by Shu Bingqing, a 2016 CUC graduate, has been shortlisted for the 96th Academy Awards in the Best Animated Short category, advancing to the top 15. The film explores mother-daughter relationships and nature’s permanence. This achievement highlights the global reach of CUC’s animation education and Chinese creative talent.

    The inaugural Conference on AIGC and Digital-Intelligent Communication was held at Communication University of China from December 24 to 28, 2025. Over 200 participants from major media outlets attended. Speakers emphasized AIGC as a transformative force in media. A strategic partnership was signed to establish a Digital-Intelligent Converged Media Innovation Center, advancing industry-academia collaboration.

    A Malaysian education delegation visited the School of International Studies at Communication University of China on December 29, 2025. The exchange focused on language education and regional cooperation. Malay program freshmen performed the folk song "Rasa Sayang" and conversed fluently in Malay. Both sides committed to deepening mutual understanding through sustained educational dialogues.
