Recently, Kidhood Flows, a short film created by Luo Xianyao, Li Bohan, Xue Kai, and Chen Yipei, students of the 2020 class majoring in Digital Media Art (Internet and Intelligent Media Design Pathway), Department of Future Media, School of Animation and Digital Arts, Communication University of China, under the guidance of teachers Zhou Yinan and Shen Wei, was selected for the 44th VGIK International Student Film Festival - International Competition.

On the afternoon of November 5, 2024, the China-Brazil Dialogue on Confucianism was held at the School of International Studies, Communication University of China. This seminar was jointly launched by the School of International Studies and the Center for BRICS Studies of the Communication University of China and co-organized by the research team of the Confucius, Mencius, Xunzi: Lecture Notes on Confucianism in the Pre-Qin Period, a Chinese Academic Translation Project.

The 26th Qi Yue Recitation Art Festival and National College Students’ Recitation Contest’s Exhibition of Excellent Works and Famous Scholars’ Recitation of Famous Pieces Successfully concluded on the evening of November 16. This event was directed by the Department of Language Application Management, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.

On the afternoon of November 15, Wang Zhiqiang, Deputy Director of the Education and Scientific Film TV Channel of Zhejiang TV and Announcing Supervisor, delivered a lecture on “Cultivating Influencer Accounts Scene-Specific Hosting Techniques” at Conference Hall 266, the School of International Studies, Communication University of China. This lecture was hosted by Liu Ying, Deputy Dean of the School.

From October 20 to 23, the 2024 International Light Symposium (LS 2024), a heavyweight conference in the field of global light environment design and research, was successfully held in Norway. Jiang Yichen, a lecturer from our school’s Light Environment Design Department, and Hao Mengyuan, a postgraduate student in his/her first year of studying Drama and Film Television (2024 intake), were invited to attend.

On November 6, 2024, Elena Macías Otón, Associate Professor of the Department of Literature at Universidad de Murcia in Spain, visited The School of Foreign Languages and Cultures (SFC), Communication University of China. She had in-depth exchanges with Liu Ying, Deputy Dean of the School, Zhang Qing, Director of the Spanish Language Program, and Hu Shi, a faculty member, on cooperation in language teaching between the two universities.

Recently, David, a graduation project co-created by four students,Xue Kai, Hong Jiexi, Jiang Bilun, and Zeng Wen, from the 2020 class of Digital Media Arts (Digital Imaging and Network Video Track) at our schools School of Animation and Digital Arts, under the guidance of Professor Wang Fahua, has been selected for the 45th CIFF - Short Film Competition. The world premiere will take place at the Cairo Opera House.

On the morning of October 31, 2024, School of Marxism, Communication University of China (CUC) invited renowned French Marxist scholar Jean-Numa Ducange to deliver a lecture titled “The Evolution of the European Left in the Past Decade”. The lecture was hosted by Liu Dongjian, Dean of the CUC School of Marxism.
