From June 25th to 26th, our school successfully accepted the on-site review of the quality certification of higher education for international students in China (initial certification). An Yan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education International Exchange Association, Cheng Aimin, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Students Education Management Branch of the China Higher Education Society and former Director of the International Affairs Office of Nanjing University, Zhang Shuting, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the school, Yang Yi, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President, all members of the certification expert group and heads of relevant functional departments, directly affiliated units, and teaching (training) units participated in the on-site review. Yang Yi presided over the on-site review work briefing.
At the on-site review work briefing, Zhang Shuting warmly welcomed all the certification experts who came to the school to guide the work of studying in China. He said that improving the quality of education and management level of international students in China is one of the core tasks of the school's leap from a domestic first-class university to an international first-class university. Based on the advantages of double first-class disciplines and the professional characteristics of media +, the school continues to explore innovative ways to educate people, continuously optimizes the management mechanism of international students in China, enriches educational and teaching resources, and actively expands internship practice platforms. It has trained a large number of high-quality, compound media elites who know and love China. Zhang Shuting said that the school will take this certification as an opportunity to vigorously promote the high-quality development of studying in China, further optimize the scale and structure of student sources, improve the education quality assurance mechanism, build a professional service system, help strengthen the Study in China brand, and constantly polish the Study in China brand, and contribute due wisdom and strength to the education of studying in China.

Yang Yi reported to the expert group on the training of international students in China at Communication University of China with the theme of Focusing on the construction of international communication capabilities and cultivating the backbone of people who know and love China. He introduced the development history and basic situation of our university's education for international students in China. He said that Communication University of China adheres to the lofty mission of serving the country's major strategies and optimizing the professional structure and talent training system for international students in China. He shared the characteristics and highlights of the university's work on studying in China around the three aspects of positioning the construction of international communication capabilities and cultivating international students who know and love China, strengthening the convergence management of international students in China, and continuously optimizing the management and services of international students in China, and systematically promoting national conditions and cultural education, and forging the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind. He also introduced the self-evaluation, self-inspection and continuous improvement of the university's work on the quality certification of higher education for international students in China.
After the briefing, the expert group interviewed the school leaders in charge of studying in China, heads of relevant functional departments for studying in China, heads of training units, heads of relevant management departments and managers, held discussions with representatives of teaching staff and international students, reviewed the school's relevant systems for studying in China, admissions files, student files, professional training programs, student examination papers, graduation theses and other certification support materials, visited the Media Museum, School of Animation and Digital Arts, library, National Key Building (State Key Laboratory of Media Convergence and Communication), one-stop service hall for international students, international student dormitories and other places, and listened to and evaluated courses such as Cross-Cultural Communication and Chinese Language.
At the feedback exchange meeting, Cheng Aimin, on behalf of the expert group, gave a preliminary feedback on the overall situation of our university's education work for international students in China. The expert group believes that Communication University of China has distinct characteristics in running schools, continuous innovation in curriculum construction, unique practical teaching, and remarkable results in talent training. At the same time, the expert group also put forward suggestions on the school's work on international students in China in terms of top-level design, management mechanism, management informatization, and short-term non-academic education projects.
Zhang Shuting expressed his respect and gratitude to the experts for their rigorous and pragmatic attitude and their careful and meticulous work. He said that the school will continue to attach great importance to, plan at a high level, and efficiently promote the school's education of international students in China. Focusing on the valuable opinions put forward by the experts, the school will comprehensively sort out and summarize, formulate rectification plans, clarify measures, and strengthen the use of initial certification results.
