The fourth China International Oral History Week (COHW) is scheduled for November 5 to 11, 2018 in Beijing, China. This year the theme is “The Multiple Uses of Oral History”. We hope to have a significant international presence and invite papers and posters that are grounded in oral history practice from all over the world. There are a variety of events that you can join. It would be a great chance to reach Chinese oral historians and engage Chinese audiences.

The Annual Oral History Poster Exhibition
November 5 to December 31, 2018
Please send us your contact information, proposals (up to 250 words) and an electronic copy of the poster for your oral history project. We will review the posters that we receive and display some of them at the exhibit hall.

The Annual Oral History Sharing Session
November 9, 2018
If you want to join us, please send us your contact information, proposals (up to 250 words) and a list of productions, including but not limited to scholarly publications, books, audio and visual documentaries, websites, and exhibits. If your project is very productive, we would cover the travel and accommodation expenses. Small scholarships are also available for accepted international presenters.

The Annual Oral History Conference
November 10, 2018
Please email us your contact information and the full paper on the theme of “Multiple Uses of Oral History”. As above, we would cover the travel and accommodation expenses for a few outstanding international presenters.

The deadline for submissions is October 25, 2018, but submitters will be notified on a rolling basis.
