Lecturer’s Biography:
Liang Yan is a professor and doctoral tutor at Beijing Foreign Studies University and dean of the China Academy of International Culture. Liang graduated from the Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University in 1987, then graduated from the Chinese Academy of Arts in 1993 and 1996 respectively. She received a master's degree in literature (traditional drama theory) and a doctorate in literature (theatrical aesthetic direction). She has been engaged in teaching and research on the history of Chinese opera and the overseas dissemination of Chinese opera for more than a decade.
