Introduction of the speaker:
Dr Zhao Yuezhi, a famous professor of Simon Fraser University in Canada, the Ministry of Education "Chang Jiang” scholar. Her main research fields are communication theory and social theory, cross-cultural communication political economics, communication and global power transfer, the urban and rural relationship under the view of culture, communication and social change.
Her major works are "sustaining democracy? Western politics and journalism objectivity", “Media”, “Market and Democracy in China”, ”Communication in China” ,etc.
She won Dallas Smythe Award at Union for Democratic Communication UDC in 2013, and got C. Edwin Baker Award at International Communication Association，ICA in 2014.
