On July 11, the opening ceremony of the first cross-strait youth short video and micro drama exchange and research camp was held at Communication University of China. Nearly 50 teachers and students from 9 well-known universities in Taiwan and Communication University of China formed a team of 100 people, and will jointly complete the shooting of several micro dramas and short videos in 5 days and 4 nights.

Before the opening ceremony, Zhang Shuting, President of Communication University of China, and Yang Yi, Vice President, had cordial exchanges with Li Qiufang, Chairman of the China Radio, Film and Television Exchange Association and former Discipline Inspection Group Leader of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Yan Ni, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, and Ma Zhenjie, Second-level Inspector of the Exchange Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhong Dandan, Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of Communication University of China. Li Qiufang, Chairman of the Chinese Radio, Film and Television Exchange Association, Yang Yi, Vice President of Communication University of China, and Chen Zhongqi, Chairman of the Taipei Audiovisual Program Production Business Association, delivered speeches respectively. Both sides hope that through exchanges and visits, they can encourage young people in the industry on both sides of the Taiwan Strait to delve into the history of Chinese civilization, work together to move forward into the future with audio-visual as the bond, and promote the integrated development of audio-visual culture on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Li Shaoyan, Secretary General of the China Radio, Film and Television Exchange Association, spoke on behalf of the organizers. He talked about the importance of this event in promoting cross-strait youth exchanges and cooperation. Professor Zhao Hui, Director of the Basic Department of the School of Drama, Film and Television of Communication University of China, further elaborated on the shooting plan and screening arrangements of the first cross-strait short video and micro-short drama research and visit event on behalf of the event executor. Professor Pu Jian, Director of the Directing Department of the School of Drama, Film and Television of Communication University of China, and Teacher Kong Fanyun of Changhua Normal University in Taiwan spoke as teacher representatives, expressing their support and expectations for the event. Student representatives Huang Yunjia and Zhou Zhichun also shared their creative vision for participating in this competition.



At the teacher appointment ceremony, Li Qiufang and Yang Yi presented appointment letters to 20 instructors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.

This event was guided by the Exchange Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Office of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, co-organized by the China Radio, Film and Television Exchange Association and the Taipei Audiovisual Program Production Business Association, and hosted by the Communication University of China. The event aims to enhance understanding between young people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and promote the integrated development of the audiovisual industry on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
