The 2020 China International oral history week

The films, City Dream and Born in 2000 will be on show. The creators will also come to exchange their ideas with spectators.

The 6th China International Oral History Week will be held from November 2nd to 8th, 2020 in Community University of China. The annual documentary film exhibition, as one of the four main sections of the international week, will be held from November 2nd to 4th in a row. To enrich the education of oral history during the epidemic, this section will be exclusively available to the teachers and students of Communication University of China.

The first exhibition: City Dream
A story on a vendor named ‘Wang Tiancheng’ who tries to stay in Wuhan city with his family. The film
depicts the conflict between vendors’ living and city management. More importantly, it reflects the ‘city dream’ of Chinese normal people at present. Everyone could be ‘Wang Tiancheng’ in this film.



Discussion after the exhibition
Guest: Dai Nianwen, the famous investor of film and television, chairman of Sage Culture Media Company Limited.
Host: Guo Xiaoming, the chief reporter of Cui Yongyuan Oral History Research Center.

The second exhibition: Born in 2000
It is a
12-year tack record of the growth of 2 Chinese kids who were ‘born in 2020’. In 2006, the two innocent kids were both repelled by some people. However, after 10 years, in 2016, they both faced new opportunity of their life.

According to the prevention and control plan of the epidemic, the number of spectators in each exhibition will be limited, so please sign up for it in advance. And don’t forget to keep social distance and wear your mask when enjoying the films.
