University of Delaware and Faculty of Literature and Law of CUC Agree on Further Cooperation

Faculty of Literature and Law of Communication University of China (CUC) and the University of Delaware College of Arts and Sciences signed the agreement on further cooperation at a ceremony held in CUC on Monday. The director of the Faculty of Literature and Law, Li Huailiang, jointly signed agreement with Dr.Doug Doren, the dean of the Department of Physics and Astronomy and Dr. Karen Parker, the director of the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice of the University of Delaware on the Bachelor and Master Project Cooperation between the University of Delaware and the Communication University of China.

On the occasion, Director Li Huailiang said that the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Delaware and CUC’s Faculty of Literature and Law has been cooperating with each other for a long time in the fields ranging from in-depth cooperation of the teachers’ communication to academic research. This agreement will enhance the cooperation between the two institutions to a great extent.

Dr. Doug Doren said it was a great pleasure to sign specific agreements and promote the master related project with CUC. According to the agreement, five Law or Sociology undergraduates for maximum will be admitted into the University of Delaware to study their master programs in Sociology or Criminology in the college of criminology.

The deputy director of CUC’s Faculty of Literature and Law Prof. Wang Sixin together with the director of the department of Law, Prof. Li Danlin and Prof. of Sociology Feng Bo attended the signing ceremony.

The University of Delaware is well known as one of the oldest American top public research universities with the ranking of Number 75th in the 2016 National Comprehensive University Ranking of the United States. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college of all the seven colleges at the university with more than 20 departments, including Arts, Communication, Criminology Justice, News. Among them, Criminology ranked the top 25 in the United States.
