Professor Ding Junjie Inducted into China Advertising Hall of Fame

Professor Ding Junjie, dean of the Advertising School of CUC is inducted into China Advertising Hall of Fame,Oct.29

The awarding ceremony of the 3rd China Advertising Hall of Fame was held in Shanghai and Professor Ding Junjie, dean of the Advertising School of CUC, has been elected gloriously. 

The achievements of Professor Ding were deeply appreciated by the election committee and council of the China Advertising Hall of Fame, including his academic researches, works in the subject of Adverting, efforts in cultivating talents and etc.

"Contributing himself into the foundation of the subject of Advertising in CUC, Professor Ding has been exerting in teaching and researching for over thirty years. In an era of New Media, he proposed a scientific and objective exposition about the relationship between the new media and the traditional media." The committee and council stated," At the same time, he has done an array of charity work in the field of advertising and made great contribution to the international communication."

"One hundred years ago, when it was in 1917, the British author Douglas Adams said, ‘Through one country’s advertisement, you can have a glimpse of its dream.'  According to the speech delivered by Xi Jinping at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, and what we now face is the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people's ever-growing needs for a better life." Professor Ding said, " China has done a great job in manufacture, but those who work in the field of Advertising, like me, still need to upgrade our products and way of communication with the help of innovation and wisdom." In his epilogue, Professor Ding promised, "I will remain unflinching to my original aspiration and work much harder as a teacher." 

Founded under the proposition of the CUC Media Museum, the National Advertising Institution and the Business Advertising Association of China, the China Advertising Hall of Fame is the prime hall to honor those who have made great contribution to the development of advertising in China. The Hall of Fame has strict procedure and standards of selecting those who deserve the honor. Only for those influential pioneer in China can pass the appraisal.

The Hall of Fame also works as a bridge between the Advertising school of CUC and the national advertising industry.
