Advertising Museum of China

Under construction since 2005, the Advertising Museum of China (AMC) was open on September 20th, 2014, on the day of the 60th anniversary of CUC. It was founded on the original center of the Faculty of Arts with a 3-storey building that combines Eastern and Western design. It is encircled with a huge glass cover, like a grand display case. By integrating sources of different industries, fields and regions, the AMC has showcases comprehensive information beneficial to people from all walks of life.

The president of AMC, Professor Huang Shengmin, expressed that CUC’s advertising school plays a leading role in China, and the establishment of AMC is one way to present professional knowledge in an alluring and intriguing manner.

Another professor, Zhang Hao, who is in charge of the operation of AMC, explained the advertising industry has a long history, however, the achievements and valuable experience of advertising have not been kept as a system. It’s paramount for societies and nations to reflect on their history of societal progress, on how their nations developed, and on how the country was shaped.

A beautiful elm stands tall in the middle of the Exhibition Hall

Zhang said the elm was incorporated into the architecture to symbolically accompany the growth of AMC. This tree is a signal of the advertising industry that it not only a long-standing industry, but a prosperous industry that is full of vitality.

All of them are displayed in 3 exhibition halls respectively.
