Gold Award Won by Our Student in International Competition

Yang Pengyu, a sophomore majoring in vocal music performance from the School of Music and Recording Arts of our university, won gold award of Vocal music (common college category) in China Region Final of UK Royal International Music Competition which was held from Nov 2016 to Jan. 2017 in Beijing.

UK Royal International Music Competition (URIMC for short) is jointly hosted by UK Royaux Art Association and Asia Young Musicians Association, which is an international, authoritative and professional music competition. Over the years, URIMC has kept high standard in Arts competition. Such a high-profile international competition from 2009 serves as a professional platform on which players can show themselves and learn from each other, and it has gained praise from contestants, teachers and experts.  

Yang Pengyu, the gold winner, is under the guidance of Cao Hui, an outstanding young teacher in vocal music performance major, the School of Recording and Music Arts. The competition is a display and verification of teaching achievements in our school's vocal music in the international stage, and the prize proves that the teaching model of vocal music performance of our university has been recognized by international experts.

 In the future ,the teachers of vocal music performance teaching-research office will continue to cultivate professional talents with compound vocal music performance of the vocal music theory, solid technical skills and the stage practice experience.
